Surrounded by her loving family, Brenda S. McCorkle, 50, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away at Camden Clark Medical Center September 28, 2022. She was the daughter of Jerry and Mary Mills of Elizabeth, WV. A 1990 graduate of Wirt County High School, she graduated from Fairmont State University with a degree in Business Education and earned her master's at West Virginia University, studying Curriculum and Instruction.  She worked as a teacher at Wirt County High School and later worked in sales. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Golden and Pearl Crew and Estel and Vonda Mills.

Brenda loved to travel, scheduling a girls' beach trip every year, with Diana Hicks and Dina Harrison,always going to a different beach; travel; reading and riding 4-wheelers.

She is survived by her parents; daughters Kylee and Addison McCorkle; sister and husband Amy and Keven Roberts; special niece and nephew Zoey and Ashton Roberts; very special friends Jeremy, Meredith, Reece and Payton Waters and many cousins and friends in her neighborhood.

Visitation will be held Sunday Oct 2, 2022, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Matheny Whited Funeral Home in Elizabeth, Wv.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev James Bruce officiating.  Interment will be at K or P Cemetery in Elizabeth, WV.  Matheny Whited Funeral Home was honored to assist the McCorkle family.
