Charles W. Riffle, 69, of Elizabeth, WV, passed away September 2, 2023, at WVU Medicine Camden Clark.  He was the son of Ruby Duvall Riffle Pontlitz and the late Charles E. Riffle, Jr. Born in Baltimore City, MD, he was a graduate of Arundel Senior High School, Odenton, MD. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law Albert Ferrell, his grandson Levi Ferrell and infant son Charles Robert Riffle.

Mr. Riffle was a veteran of the U. S. Army where he was in the artillery and a cook. He worked as a mechanic for various businesses.  When not working, he was an accomplished guitar player and singer, many said he could play anything.  He also enjoyed his cats.

He is survived by his partner Delores Malson; daughters Christina Ferrell, Kimberly (Jason) Poling and Carrie (Daniel) Riffle-McKown; siblings Macy Moore, Cheryl (William) Wolfe, Linda (Tony) Ramsey, Derek (Stephanie) Pontlitz and Duane (Jeanette) Riffle; 7 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

His wishes to be cremated will be honored.  Matheny Whited Funeral Home was honored to assist the Riffle family.
