Darlene Lockhart, 66, of Palestine, WV, passed away at her residence June 11, 2024. She was born in Parkersburg, WV, the daughter of the late Gerald and Donna (Corbitt) Lynch. She was a 1975 graduate of Wirt County High School, a member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church and was retired from Coldwater Creek. She worked for many years at the Wirt County Senior Citizens. Darlene was a collector of all things, never met a stranger, but her greatest love was her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Robert "Bob" Lockhart; children Crystal (Timmy) Myers and Brad (Erika) Lockhart; grandchildren Gerad Lockhart (Stacy), Parker Myers, Lilyanna Butcher and Jessa Lockhart; great grandchildren Aubreigh Flinn, Harley Lockhart and Fynnleigh Lockhart; sister Sherry (Terry) Workman and a special cousin that she loved like a sister Barb (Bob) Pursley.

Services will be 2:00PM Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Matheny Whited Funeral Home in Elizabeth, WV. Visitation will be Saturday, June 15, 2024, 6 to 8PM at the funeral home. Matheny Whited was honored to assist the Lockhart family.
