Ethel M. Casto, 101, of Elizabeth, WV, peacefully went home to be with the Lord December 28, 2024.  Born in Reedy, May 7, 1923, she attended Pisgah United Methodist Church, was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Women and a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. She loved cooking, canning, camping, and her family. She always made sure nobody left her home hungry,

The daughter of the late Samuel and Clara Bise Channels, Ethel was preceded in death by her first husband Roy Hill; second husband Gilbert Casto; son Melvin Hill; son-in-law Dale Murray; stepson Robert Hill; step son-in-law Ted Johnson; and siblings Lloyd Channels, Austin Channels, Walter Channels, Hoyt Channels, Beulah Channels and Ottmer Channels.

A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her children Ron (Helen) Hill, Darrell (Scheral) Hill, Teresa Murray and Janet (George) Priselac; step-children Patty Johnson, Barbara Nichols, Rick (Gina) Hill, Gib (Robin) Casto;step daughter-in-law Veronica Hill; grandchildren Ronald(Tanya) Hill, Cheryl(Kent)Hasbargen, Rebecca(John) McKown¸ Tara(Matt) Hornbeck, Crissenda(Darin) Cale, Rona(Alan) Atkinson, Dale (Beth) Murray, Bradley(Elizabeth) Murray, Abigail(Jeremy) Kerby, Leighann(Clint) Brown, Ashley(Paul) Camp , Chris (Sara) Casto and Damian(Lee) Alltop; bonus granddaughter Akiko(Kevin) Rose, several great-grandchildren, step grandchildren, nieces and nephews and 2 great great granddaughters.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Matheny Whited Funeral Home, Elizabeth, WV, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm with the funeral to begin at 5:00 pm.  Matheny Whited Funeral Home was honored to assist the family of Ethel Casto with her arrangements.
