Lawanda "Wanda" June McDowell Stephens passed away Dec. 14, 2025. Known as G-unit to her grandkids, she was born in Grapevine, Texas, June 10, 1934. She has joined her husband Daniel Stephens and grandson Josh Stephens, who will meet her at Heaven's gate.

She leaves behind three boys who were lucky to call her mom: Richard, Danny (Therese) and John; three grandsons Sean, Jesse and Clayton and multiple great-grandchildren. She had a full life in her 91 years, living on the farm and making quilts for family, friends and those in need of a warm hug from one of her many quilts.

She requested there be no funeral service but remember her as you knew her. Matheny Whited Funeral Home was honored to assist the Stephens family.
