Steven Burton, 68 of Parkersburg WV passed away Jan. 2, 2025 at WVU Medical Center in Parkersburg WV. He was the son of the Late Raymond and Helen (Thompson) Burton. Was a 1974 graduate of Marietta High School.

Was an avid hunter but most of all loved to Coon Hunt. Enjoyed riding the back roads with his best friend Phil. Ohio State and Dallas Cowboys were his teams to watch, loved being with his family, cooking out or watching the grandchildren play sports.

He will be dearly missed by his by Wife of 47 years Linda Burton, their children: Brandi Braden (Jason), Amy Waterman and Jesse Burton (Joslyn).

Grandchildren Carley Miller (Kwan), Jaden Waterman, Keyshawn Simpkins, Jordan Burton, Braxton Simpkins, Ethan Hagar, Jesslyn Burton, Aaliyah White, and Ella Hagar. Great Grandchild, Azayla Griffin. Sisters: Patty Newbrough (Jim) and Cindy Burton (Tommy). Mother-in-Law Marie Carpenter. and his fur baby Honey. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to both his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: David and Ray, 2 sisters: Diana and Debbie.

Services will be 6:00 PM Thursday Jan 9, 2025, at Matheny Whited Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until the time of services on Thursday.
